01 / BEGINNING • SHURUAT

One borrowed Contax.
A sunlit haveli in Jaipur.

2014. C-Scheme, Jaipur & Le Marais, Paris. No business plan, just a belief: photographs should feel like exhaling after the varmala. We shot our first wedding for chai and a train ticket from Jaipur to Udaipur. They still have the album — with marigold pressed inside.

02 / PROCESS • TAREEKA

We shoot film because it makes us wait.

Contax 645, Leica M6, Hasselblad. Portra 400, Tri-X. We develop in-house in Jaipur. No presets. Each frame hand-coloured in the darkroom above the studio. Slow is the point — jaise chai dhire banti hai.
